Oakland Public School was established in 1997 in the memory of Late Pt. Laxmi Dutt Pandey.
The school is situated at a height of 1750 meters above the sea level and 100 meters from Lohaghat Bus Stand in peaceful surroundings far away from the noise of the town. The atmosphere is calm and inspiring. To the east of the campus lies “Devidhar”, a huge range of Devi Temples. The goddess herself blesses this place with the first rays of the sun. The fort of “Banasur” in the west gives the message of courage and strength. Beautiful Fern Hill and Oak trees in the north add to the gravity of the school and there stands a historical “Sacred Shivalaya” in the south.
